A stunning pair of carved giltwood George III mirrors, last quarter of the 18th Century. The original plates in oval frames with a beaded inner border within a guilloche moulding, with foliate C scrolls either side of the upper cresting surmounted by impressively carved giltwood eagles, husk trails to either side of the glass leading down to ribbon tied palm fronds at the base, the whole heightened and enhanced by the side and central tasselled chains held aloft by the eagles.

Size: 43 inches (109cm) height overall; 21 inches (53.25cm) wide overall. The plate: 21.25 inches (54cm) high; 15.75 inches (40cm) wide.
